Workshop Description

This workshop was designed for beginners and college students who have little to no knowledge about cryptography. The workshop starts off easy from basics including definitions for cryptography, encryption, decryption, and goes on to touch and explain some advanced topics like symmetric vs asymmetric cryptography, hash functions, Digital Signatures and Diffie Hellman key exchange.

The workshop talks about the following ciphers: Substitution Cipher (including Caesar, ROT13 and Vigenere) and Data Encryption Standard (DES). Alongh with that, the talk covers the practical use of the learnings.
